pentwater plaid chairs

House & Home

i know that we have like a million actual projects to do at the penthouse (pentwater cottage) but i had to sneak a little fun decor project in there! there are so so many pros to having a shop but one of the best things is being surrounded by some of the most talented artists in the universe. i approached fabric scout about doing a fun cottage project with these chairs. i have hoarded plaid blankets for years and i picked out two of my favorite ones and my favorite feed sacks and told her to just be creative with them. i’m so THRILLED with how they turned out!

i found these chairs a few years ago at a flea market for $25. that is right. $25 USD for the PAIR! it included the cushions which were an ugly brown but in great shape! i knew for that price i had to have it. (like pretty much everything else i find at a flea market) then they sat in my barn for a few years until i was finally to the point where pentwater needs a fun project. not that demo and walls are not fun but you know what i’m saying! i’m so ready to decorate the place that i just had to do something decorish.

i bought these feed sacks from one of my picker friends and i thought the A’s were so perfect! i gave these to sue to do at her leisure and i knew she would work magic. she did contrasting plaid on the cushions with denim piping which goes perfect with the denim couch. i’m excited to get some flooring in this place to make it really come to life!
can’t wait to show you the next few projects here!
