This Mint Cold is from last season but here are some of my favorites from the internet.
This one from Asos
This one from Modcloth
This dress I wont from Frances Jaye is by Elk but there is a similar one here for $40!
Frye Boots are also close to 8 years old but similar style here and this great deal here

Let me just start this out with I never win anything. ever. I attended a blogger event in downtown Holland, Mi in the fall and was overjoyed when I got a call from Frances Jaye that I had won the drawing for this dress. Even better? It fit me perfectly. It was fun to win this dress because it’s not the type of pattern I typically gravitate towards. I am usually a loud heart print with tulle or sequins. I also don’t think I have a single orange thing in my closet so this was a fun challenge. Getting dressed in the morning get’s my creative juices flowing and I had fun mixing and matching things until I found (what I think) is the perfect combo with this dress.

Since it’s cold in michigan right now I didn’t want to wear a heel or flat with this dress and tights would have made it too busy. I decided to opt for a long boot but it had to be simple. I swear I’ve had these boots for almost 8 years. They are Frye and while an “investment piece” they have totally lived up to their reputation. I make sure to wipe them down from the salty sidewalks in order to keep them looking fresh.

This dress is long sleeved and a sweater just made it look busy anyway so I kept it simple and paired it with this mint atlantic pacific coat. This coat is from last years collection but it’s one of the best ones I bought. You might still be able to find it on poshmark. I listed the details of the coat here.

I like the way the mint made the royal blue and orange print really pop. With any small printed item you want to keep it the star of the show otherwise everything looks too busy.

Have you ever won anything before? What is the craziest thing you’ve ever won?

The craziest thing I ever won was in 1984 when my family and I first moved to Los Angeles. I was 8 years old (totally telling on myself age-wise, eek!) and the Olympics were taking place. Mary Lou Retton was the gymnastics STAR of the Olympics and a local department store was having a drawing for a complete leotard wardrobe just like Mary Lou’s. I entered and was thrilled to win! Did I take or know gymnastics? Um, no. But I sure looked like it that summer and wore a leotard every day for way too long! I was a goofy kid. ‍♀️
