euro trip

so for the past few weeks joe and i have been narrowing down our very first euro trip (i say first because i don’t want it to be the only!) we are heading to switzerland for a conference in geneva for 5 days and then extending on to italy!

for 5 days we will be conferencing and exploring geneva switzerland. i can’t wait! i haven’t done much research on switzerland yet but so far…. i’m loving what i’m seeing.

from switzerland we will be heading to gruyers for a few days exploring the “postcard perfect town” and of course taking a cheese tour. i mean COME ON this is like i died and went to heaven.

after gruyers we head to tuscany for our first experience with airbnb! has anybody ever used this site? i mean i know it’s legit (they have tv commercials = legit) but i’m a little nervous to not book with an actual hotel. but i’m all about adventure. especially because this one is on a farm. in tuscany. i mean really. we are staying on a B & B on an organic olive oil farm and is owned by a “tv chef” and we will be getting a cooking lesson from her using the produce from the farm. i die. like i seriously want to cry every time i read the descriptions. again, i die.

after our stay in tuscany we head for chianti for a 24 hour marathon. we are staying at another countryside house overlooking the vineyards.

after chianti we head to rome where sadly, we end our trip. we are there for 2 days and have multiple sightseeing tours set up around the city. including the vatican and ancient rome tour.

after two weeks of european fun we head home 🙁 so….any tips and tricks? have any of you visited these sites? share your insider tips!
