When I saw this euphrates dress in the fall anthropologie catalog I had to have it. It was flow and comfy and they had it paired with a few different types of boots and I knew it was going to be one of the first things I added to my fall wardrobe. I can honestly say this is the first “high / low” dress I’ve ever owned. With a dress that is so flowy it’s easy for you to get lost in it. especially if you are short like me. I thought I would share a few tips on how to style a trapeze dress.

Anthropologie Euphrates Dress

  • Pick large print patterns. Small patterns can be extremely overwhelming in such a large quantity. I liked the large tie dye style stripes of this dress. It adds interest but is not too busy.
  • Throw on a piece of statement Jewelry. It might seem funny but adding this pop of teal at the collarbone length takes your eye up away from the lack of waistline and provides some upper structure.
  • Style with a structured jacket or sweater. I wore this dress again today and originally put on an oversized free people sweater but it made me look like a sad Olsen twin. This jacket has a defined waistline and centers the trapeze style so it’s not like you are wearing a parachute from a child’s gym class.

This dress is currently out of stock but here are some fun alternatives.

I’m loving this one from asos. The black and white polka dot could be so fun mixed in for spring.

This J.crew one is beach ready.

This mod print is so fun. It would be adorable with a large black belt. + It’s on sale for $32!

I love posts like this that tell me HOW to style something. I’m trying to up my fashion game (I have none) and your looks are a wonderful inspiration. I especially appreciate seeing ways to wear something.

On another note that ASOS mod print is so cute but did they have to call it “splodge print”? Yikes.
